From Junction 40 on the M6 take the A66,
heading towards Keswick, after passing Keswick you turn Left into
Portinscale Village, signposted Newlands Valley & Buttermere.
Follow signs for about 2 miles, bear right at sign for Stair. Swinside
Inn is on the right about 200 metres past the junction.
